WonderFloors was commissioned to carry out a full flooring transformation for both the front-of-house and back-of-house areas at Jalalabad, a popular Indian restaurant in Gosport, Hampshire.
The brief
The goal was to upgrade durability, hygiene and aesthetics throughout the venue, creating a seamless balance between functionality and style. The customer-facing areas needed a warmer and more refined finish, while the working kitchen required a robust surface capable of performing in a demanding commercial environment.
Customer area
In the dining area, WonderFloors replaced the old wooden laminate with a premium, elegant finish designed to enhance the atmosphere of the restaurant. The new floor introduces richer tones and a more welcoming character that complements the interior while also improving durability and making long-term maintenance more straightforward.
Back of house
In the back-of-house kitchen, the worn, stained and uneven tiled flooring was replaced with a robust seamless quartz system. The new surface was selected around hygiene and durability, providing a floor that is easier to clean, resistant to everyday spills and better equipped for the demands of a busy commercial kitchen.
